With the release of The Queen of Smiles less than a month away, you can expect things to pick up around here again, with sample chapters, release day roundups, and the like. But the new book’s release is far from the only thing that’s coming down the pipeline this season!
Here’s what’s in store, starting with tomorrow’s somewhat surprise audiobook release and then proceeding all the way to Christmas…
Holiday 2022 Event Calendar
October 25: The long-awaited audiobook release of Investigation, Mediation, Vindication. This one was produced by Tantor Media and I’m excited to hear it! Subsequent books in the series should follow in a matter of months.
November 18: I’ll be participating in the Readers & Authors Vegas Event, where I’ll be selling and signing books along with a host of other authors, including some huge names1. The event is free of charge so if you’re in town, stop by and say hi! You’ll even get to meet my angel-wife, who will be manning our half-table with me!
November 22: The release of my first full-length stand-alone novel set in the post-Break world of The Murder of Crows series: The Queen of Smiles! Per usual, the audiobook release will follow sometime in the spring/summer.
December 1: Cake!2
December 25: A free3 short story featuring Damian Banach, the protagonist of The Murder of Crows. This one will deal with [certain events] that took place off-page in One Tin Soldier, and is meant to be my Xmas gift to all of you who read and supported the series!4
Somewhere in the middle of all that, I’ll also be drafting my next two books; I’d like to hit 2023 with as much of a headstart as I can, given my goal of releasing books in three different series next year!
The Queen of Smiles is with beta readers now, and available for pre-order on the almighty Zon.
If you’ve read this far, you’ve got gumption, kid. In fact, you’re just the kind of person that would make an awesome subscriber to my newsletter. Come join the fun!
And by fun, I mean “be alerted when new books are available.” If this site’s blog posts are my monthly, in-depth, fact-heavy shareholders’ reports, the newsletters are my far-less-frequent, carefully crafted pseudo-tweets, skipping all the nitty gritty to tell you what you actually want to know: what’s new and how you can get it.
I promise I will never spam you… because spamming takes effort, and I am way, way too busy for that.
